The Julia Morgan Ballroom is located inside the Merchant Exchange Building at 465 California St., San Francisco, CA 94104. The ballroom is located on the 15th floor of the building. Check-in and breakfast for all attendees will begin at 8:00 a.m.

Yes, there is a $50.00 registration fee to guarantee your spot at the Summit. Please click here to submit payment. If you have concerns regarding your payment, please reach out to Summit@aei.org.

The deadline to register for the summit is Wednesday, April 29, 2026. Please note that we will be unable to accommodate walk-ins.

This is an invitation-only gathering and space is limited, but we will do our best to accommodate your guest for the programming. If you would like to nominate another member of your organization to attend on your behalf or you would like to bring a guest who you think would benefit from participating, please contact our conference team at summit@aei.org.

Summit participants will include state and local policymakers and staff members working in legislative bodies and government agencies, nonprofit and community leaders, research experts, business and education leaders, chambers of commerce staff, and more. Please note: This is a private event and AEI reserves the right to approve all Summit registrations.

We have structured the agenda to include breaks throughout the program should you need to make a phone call. We encourage all attendees to unplug and enjoy the program in its entirety.

If you hold public office, you are responsible for ensuring your attendance at this Summit is in compliance with any ethics guidelines or requirements that affect you. If you need any information from us to ensure you are in compliance, please email our conference team at summit@aei.org as soon as possible.

The recommended attire for the Summit is business casual.
